You only earn rewards for paid subscriptions, not when someone signs up for a free account.
How the referral program works
- Share your personal referral link with a friend.
- Your friend signs up for Bolt through your link.
- Your friend subscribes to a paid plan. The discount applies automatically at checkout.
- You start earning a reward based on your friend’s subscription payments, until you reach the $50 cap for that referral.
Refer a friend
- Log in to Bolt.
- In the sidebar, click Earn $50.
- Copy your invite link and share it with a friend.
Your referral link is only available from a personal account. If your active profile is part of a team, switch to your personal account to find your invite link.
Add payment details for your rewards
Track your referrals and connect your PayPal account on the Rewards tab of the referral dialog.- Log in to Bolt.
- In the sidebar, click Earn $50.
- Click Rewards, then click Add payment details.
- Connect your PayPal account.
Sign up using a referral link
If you sign up for Bolt using a referral link, you get 20% off your first paid subscription (for 3 months on a monthly plan, or once on an annual plan). The discount works on either a Pro plan or a Teams plan. Paste the referral link into your browser, then follow the on-screen instructions to sign up. When you check out, the discount applies automatically, as long as you used the referral link. You don’t need to enter a code.Troubleshooting

Your friend needs to sign up through your referral link and then subscribe to a paid plan for your reward to count. If they signed up without the link, or signed up before clicking it, the referral can’t be attributed to you. Cello also reviews referrals for signs of fraud, such as a self-referral or a suspicious signup pattern, which can delay or cancel a reward. If everything looks correct and you still aren’t credited, contact Bolt support.

Make sure you signed up through the referral link before subscribing. The discount applies automatically at checkout, and there’s no code to enter. If you signed up through a link and don’t see the discount, contact Bolt support before completing your purchase.
My reward shows as pending

After your friend’s payment goes through, Bolt holds your reward for about a week before it’s added to your account. This gives Cello time to confirm the payment wasn’t refunded. If your friend gets a refund during this time, the reward doesn’t get credited. Payout timing and status are handled by Cello.
