Before August 14, 2025, all Bolt projects were published to Netlify. If your project was published to Netlify before this date, see Publishing and managing projects on Netlify hosting.
What is hosting?
Hosting simply means putting your project on the internet so other people can visit it as a website. When you “publish” a project, Bolt takes the files you’ve created and makes them available at a live web address anyone can open in their browser. Bolt hosting lets you publish your project to a live URL in seconds, with a free.bolt.host
included. No third-party account is required: Bolt handles everything.
Who can use Bolt hosting?
All Bolt users, both Free and Pro, can publish their projects to a.bolt.host
domain, although custom domains are only available for Pro users.

Bolt hosting plans
Bolt offers two base levels of hosting:- Free – Up to 10 GB bandwidth + 333,333 requests per month, with a hard limit on traffic.
- Pro – Up to 30 GB bandwidth + 1 million requests per month, with the ability to pay as you go to increase traffic capacity.

Pro hosting is included with every Bolt paid subscription.
Increase hosting limits
Free plan sites stop serving content once they hit their monthly data limits. When that happens, they stay offline until usage resets at the start of the next billing cycle. As a Pro plan user, you have the option to keep your sites online by using pay-as-you-go data. This lets you automatically purchase additional bandwidth and requests beyond your monthly hosting limit, up to a spending cap you set in your dashboard. Once the cap is reached, the site will pause until your usage resets. This way, you can handle sudden traffic spikes or seasonal surges while keeping your budget in control. To change your hosting limits, follow these steps:- Click the gear icon in the upper-right of your screen to open Project Settings.
- Click Cloud.
- Click Change spending limit.
- Enter your desired spending limit.
- Click Save.
Expecting a product launch or viral moment? Increase your spending limit in advance to avoid downtime.
Made in Bolt badge
On the Free plan, projects display a Made in Bolt badge in both preview and published sites. Upgrading to any paid plan removes the badge on your next site update and the next preview refresh. Note that changes may take a few minutes to appear due to caching.Analytics
Projects published to Bolt Hosting on a paid plan include built-in analytics to let you view traffic to your published site. To view your analytics, follow these steps:- Click the gear icon near the top-right of your screen to open Project settings.
- Click Analytics in the left menu.
Using third-party analytics
You can add extra analytics to your site with services like Google Analytics or Matomo by embedding their tracking code. In Bolt, you can either switch to Code view and paste the code in the desired location yourself or use the chatbox to prompt Bolt to add it for you. Check your analytics provider’s documentation for tips on where to place the code and best practices.Use Discussion mode to help if you have questions about where to embed the code in your Bolt project.
SEO Boost
SEO Boosting creates a ready-to-go HTML version of each page ahead of time. When search engines visit your site, they get the full page instantly, making it easier to index your site and show it in search results. SEO boost means your pages will load faster for visitors and be easier for search engines to understand.By default, SEO Boost is disabled.
- Click the gear icon in the upper-right of your screen.
- Click Domains & hosting.
- Click Enable SEO Boost.
